UFC Announces Deal with Paramount+ + for Future UFC Events

 Article written by Scottie Kieffer

A happy Monday Morning to UFC Fans in the US as TKO, Dana White, and Paramount/CBS announce a future partnership for the next 7 years of UFC Events. For a massive $7.7 billion, Paramount+ + will be the new home for UFC Numbered Cards and Fight Nights. But the details of the deal have fans excited to say the least.

No more Pay-Per-Views! All UFC numbered cards will come with the standard Paramount+ price of $7.99. The deal specifies that they will have 13 numbered cards a year. With this move, Viewers will save over $1000 a year. They will also have 30 Fight Night events with some appearing on CBS, much like we've seen in the past with the current ESPN deal.

Dana has been shopping around for the best deal since spring, when contract negotiations began. He announced on his socials today with a statement

“This historic deal with Paramount and CBS is incredible for UFC fans and our athletes,” UFC president Dana White said in a statement. “For the first time ever, fans in the U.S. will have access to all UFC content without a Pay-Per-View model, making it more affordable and accessible to view the greatest fights on a massive platform. This deal puts UFC amongst the biggest sports in the world. The exposure provided by the Paramount and CBS networks under this new structure is a huge win for our athletes and anyone who watches and loves this sport.”

Fans speculated with WWE and ESPN's agreement from last week that TKO was going to keep the UFC on ESPN, but the money Paramount offered was out of this world. At the end of the day, fans will be the real winners after this move, and so will the fighters, as maybe with the $1.1 billion the UFC will receive a year, fighter pay will go up.
